President’s Update A special “thank you” to the sponsors of our 2010 Business Fair, Meijer and Bay Park Community Hospital, and to our host, Rossford High School. That special “thank you” is also extended to those who worked so hard on this year’s Business Fair: Brenda Schwind, Cindi Hollie-Selz, John Rust, Angie Jackson, Chrissa Liskai, Dr. Zouhary, the Scouts and the Explorers, Jeff Eberly and all who contributed to making our Fair a success. Everyone that I spoke with, vendor or attendee, felt that the experience was valuable, profitable and enjoyable. This is exactly what we have worked so hard to achieve. The RBA as an organization profited as well with the addition of 26 new members since January 1, 2010. We are on to our next annual event, “Fun at the Fountain”, which is our end of summer homecoming event. This year’s co-chairs will be Angie Jackson and Cindi Hollie-Selz. I am sure that they can use all of the volunteers they can get so don’t be shy, let them know how you wish to contribute. The Executive Committee is working on a “Dues Policy” to coordinate our annual membership collection with our “Business Fair” and also in the works are the details of a proposed “Summer Scholarship” program. As always we welcome any suggestions for speakers for our monthly meetings. We hope to see you all at our next monthly meeting so please check the “upcoming events” tab for time and place.

Welcome to the Rossford Business Association Nine years ago the Rossford Business Association (RBA) reorganized to support and help generate business activity in our community. We believe that our members benefit by an active organization promoting the goods and services of our businessmen and professionals. Over the past few years the RBA has grown dramatically and meets monthly to discuss and create projects that serve our members and the community. We currently have committees active on several projects such as our annual Business Fair to be held at the Rossford High School on April 10, 2010. The Business Fair gives our local businesses a showcase for their products and services in a fun and entertaining atmosphere. The 4th annual “Fun At The Fountain” scheduled for next September, has become a community homecoming event, featuring beverages, food and entertainment. We will continue to provide scholarships to local high school seniors pursuing educational opportunities after high school and have updated our Business Directory in 2009. (Copies can be obtained at many of our member locations.) If you are a business owner, manager, or a member of an organization in the Rossford area, we would invite you to become a member and an active part of the RBA. You can view a list of our membership and meeting dates. Sincerely, Raymond J. Miller, Jr.
